Mokoko X is an action-packed adventure game that brings back the nostalgic arcade style of the late 1980s. Players take control of 8 brave girls who are in need of help as they battle weird enemies and make their way through 32 unique levels. The goal of the game is to conquer the bigger portion of the screen and save the girls from all sorts of absurd troublemakers.

To achieve victory, players must draw out of their area to conquer new areas, which deactivates their shield and leaves them vulnerable to enemies. The game has three different difficulty settings that affect the strength of enemies, the players' shield, and the percentage of the screen they must conquer.

In addition to the action-packed gameplay, Mokoko X also has fully animated characters with both Japanese and English voiceovers. The game also features lovely graphics, traps, towers, crates, bonus effects, and an Arcade Mode that displays live high scores for competitive players.

The game also has a great story to follow, as players must answer questions like how to stop a heartless but not soulless emperor, why ducks attack them, and what scientists want from Albert the wonderful sea creature. Every level features an absurd story and unique boss and minions, and players must complete missions such as helping Iren with her arachnophobia and protecting Issa's house from pillaged ghost pirates.
