The Japanese version includes all factions, but is distributed as a paid title due to adjustments made specifically for Steam and the addition of trading cards.

Lost Technology was developed by CB-SXF6, who used the game program called Vahrenturga as the base system. Vahrenturga was the winner of a 2009 game contest and has over 200,000 downloads. The cooperation of the original game's creator, Nanaashi, was necessary to release Lost Technology overseas. Nanaashi helped with various tweaks and adjustments to ensure the game's release.
