Set in the 90's, Hyper-5 is a cinematic shmup game where the player takes on the role of a deep space scout ship responding to a distress beacon. The ship is then drawn into a battle with an unknown enemy, creating an intense and thrilling experience.

Deep space scout ship Hyper-5 is answering a distress beacon call, and is suddenly thrust into an unexpected battle with an unknown enemy. Players must traverse five distinct and challenging environments, encounter over forty different kinds of enemies, and battle five unique bosses in order to survive.

Hyper-5’s challenge-based progression system allows players to unlock over twenty different weapon systems and ship upgrades, as well as gallery entries, by completing in-game challenges. Players can also customize their loadout and upgrade weapons in the Armoury.

Three different playing modes are available to suit different skill levels. Experience the cinematic story line and discover the fate of Hyper-5 in Story Mode, challenge yourself in Arcade Mode, and compete for the global leaderboard in Precision Mode. Plus, two bonus Time Trial missions will put players’ skills and reflexes to the test.
