Hold Your Own is an open world sandbox, crafting and survival FPS game set in a multi-island land where you must fight to survive. Hold Your Own is a single player open world sandbox, crafting and survival FPS game set in a multi-island archipelago. The world has been taken over by insurgents and it's up to you to reclaim your land and restore it to its former glory. You'll need to fight the elements, gather resources, and take on hostile wildlife and enemies to survive. You'll also need to craft and build to defend yourself and your home. Can you make it safe for citizens to return and hold your own against the onslaught of adversaries?

The single-player game features a linear quest line, side quests, and repeatable quests. You can also choose to play in sandbox mode with or without tutorials. The complexity of the AI increases as the player progresses, presenting a challenge to take and defend resources from the insurgents. Experience, levels, and skill points can be earned and spent to specialize in one area more than another.

Hold Your Own also includes character hunger, thirst, and body temperature mechanics, base building, vehicles, hunting, crafting, food cooking mechanics, power/electricity mechanics, gathering resources, mining and refining of ores, friendly NPCs, kill AI enemies, animal husbandry, farming, day/night cycle, and weather cycle.
