About Hardwar Game

You are an Operative and a free agent in the city of (Misplaced) Optimism, the last remaining crater cluster on the barren, mined-out moon of Titan. The claustrophobic atmosphere makes it a dangerous place to be, but as a speculator you must survive and thrive in this hostile environment.

The futuristic city of (Misplaced) Optimism is the last surviving colony on the barren mined-out planet of Titan. Here, in this claustrophobic environment, the only way of survival is to become a “Scavenger Operator”, a free agent who transports the dwindling resources and frozen body parts between the Neo-Feudal Inter-Planetary Government Sponsored Corporations and Mutant Underworld Cartels. All of them are desperate to possess the last breath of Lazarus Faction Air.

It all started when MineCorp imported Off-World Pioneer Titan-Dollar workers to build the gigantic artificial oxygen refineries and pyramid economy to serve its mining operations. Unfortunately, the city was declared uneconomical and MineCorp shut down and returned to Earth, leaving the citizens of (Misplaced) Optimism to fend for themselves.

This is where the game of Hardwar begins. You take on the role of an Operative, a free agent and speculator in the city of (Misplaced) Optimism. Your mission is to use your skills and resources to survive, build a reputation, acquire credits and ultimately escape the city. You do this by scanning comms channels for salvage, escort, sabotage and other jobs throughout the hostile craters and tunnel links.

Your main asset is your Moth, a ship that you must upgrade with better software and hardware to increase its cargo capacity and power. However, you must be wary of the risks that come with more power, as this can attract more enemies. You must also be mindful of the fact that loyalty is the rarest commodity of all, and you must earn it if you want to make progress.

Throughout the game, you'll take on a variety of missions, including bounty, assassination and demolition jobs, for which you will be handsomely rewarded. Your ultimate goal is to trade up to a Warp-Drive Moth with special F.U. model firepower, on board CPU, top comms and inter-planetary capability, allowing you to escape Titan for good.

Hardwar is a game of strategy and survival, where you must weigh up the risks and rewards of each mission. You must also remain mindful of the consequences of your actions, as payback awaits anyone who commits serious criminal behaviour. Ultimately, the decision is yours – will you trade up or trade in?
