The story follows the main character, Jane, who is a part of the GwenBlade organization. The organization aims to treat people with mental health issues using a special device that resembles a VR helmet. The device allows users to enter a person's consciousness and explore their memories.

Each level in GwenBlade is a personification of an individual's soul, created from their memories. Players will embark on dizzying journeys through these locations, encountering interesting platform tasks. However, there are opponents to face in these locations, manifesting as negative emotions in the patient. The game features unique boss battles, such as the "Pressure" boss who is a giant carcass that crushes players with its attacks. However, with each blow the player lands, the pressure on the boss lessens until it is defeated.
