About For The Fatherland Game

On 6 June 1944, the Allies launched the greatest military invasion in human history, hoping to end the war by landing on German-occupied Normandy. It is now your duty to protect the Fatherland and prevent the Allied invasion from succeeding. Can you stand up to the challenge and successfully defend German territories in France?

For The Fatherland is an upcoming tower defense strategy game, developed by Zuckrprinz Games and set during the Second World War. Players take charge of the German forces as they attempt to repel the invading Allied soldiers and defend their territories on the western front.

The game is centred around six maps, each inspired by real-life battles, such as the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach, the Battle of Villers-Bocage, the Battle of Carentan and the Tank Battle at Kursk. In each map, players are presented with predetermined tower spots in realistic positions. They must then deploy their units, taking into consideration their relative damage, cost, speed, range, and other characteristics. Units available to players include a German Rifleman, Sniper, Machine Gunner, Flamethrower, Flak 88, Tanks, and Planes, alongside American Rifleman, Submachine Gunner, Haft-truck, Sherman, Spitfire, Soviet Submachine Gunner and Soviet T-34/76 Tank.

Players can also make use of a range of special abilities, such as Smoke Grenade, Mortar Strike, Sniper Shot, Poison Gas, and more. These abilities can be upgraded for increased damage, and further unlockables become available as the game progresses. Players must also manage their resources effectively in order to counter the incoming enemy waves on the eight-lane maps.

The game features two difficulty levels: Rekrut (easy) and Kommandant (hard). Additionally, there are hidden Easter eggs to discover on each map. A vibrant community has been built up around the game, with players providing feedback and helping with development.
