The idyllic city of Lylan, situated on a remote island, suddenly becomes troubled by an unknown force that looms in the air. As tensions rise, the inhabitants of the island must find a way to confront this threatening aura before it causes any more disruption.

Rogue, a skilled swordswoman, has come to visit the city of Lylan, an isolated island city, only to find herself arrested by a band of knights, led by none other than Rita Lylan, the city’s governor. After being mistaken for an assassin, she is injected with a strange serum that changes her gender, and finding herself in the unlikely role of Rita’s bodyguard, Rogue embarks on a new adventure to protect Rita and uncover the mysteries of Lylan.

The city of Lylan is filled with diverse districts and colorful characters. As Rogue and her party explore, they will encounter a variety of monsters and villains, some of which have to be defeated through a unique card-based battle system. By building a hand of cards, Rogue and her allies can unleash powerful combo attacks on their enemies while also performing supportive maneuvers.

In addition to the battles, there are also plenty of minigames to enjoy. Fishing is an intuitive and enjoyable way to relax, and Rogue can take on side jobs, like serving food and drinks at a restaurant, to make some extra money. Spending time with her party members and showering them with gifts will also allow Rogue to learn more about their individual stories.

The beautiful pixel art of False Myth Game is also something to behold. Every character has detailed hand-drawn sprites, both in the city and in battle, and the cartoons-style animation of the sprites makes the game even more enjoyable.
