In response, the newly-formed Seven-States Union, led by Hong, opposes Lu and aims to gather more countries to join their alliance. The Kingdom of Bo, where the game primarily takes place, is caught in the middle of these two major powers.

Eleven years ago, Bo was attacked and destroyed by Lu, resulting in the occupation of Bo's territory. However, the crown prince Huangzhu, along with the allied forces from the Union, launches a surprise attack on the former capital of Bo and successfully reclaims the country.
