Bright is a young woman from a small town who finds herself thrust into a dark and treacherous world of secrets and lies. She is taken under the wing of the famous healer-witch Orchid, a beloved figure in her town who hides dark secrets. Bright is also plagued by a powerful demonic presence that speaks to her in her mind, as well as a number of individuals of varying alignments who play a role in her life.

On her journey she discovers the mysteries of witches and demons, and is given the opportunity to craft her own personality through extensive dialog choices. There are romances, friendships, and love-hate relationships to be explored, as well as an alignment system that measures Good/Evil and Tactful/Defiant. Bright can also keep a journal of the world lore she discovers and some of the conversations are even voiced over.
