Crimson Dawn is a roguelite horde survival game with RPG elements, allowing players to recruit mercenaries and fight off hordes of evil in order to unlock more characters and weapons with unique abilities. With relaxing and satisfying gameplay, the game offers freedom of choice and character development, so that players can create their own builds in the Hub and survive all five stages of the game.

The game starts with choosing one of the three characters with their own weapons and spells. Players can then upgrade their characters and weapons by earning materials and coins during fights. Weapons and spells attack automatically, so all players have to do is avoid enemies and try to survive. This is where the freedom of choice comes in - players can decide how many quests they want to take on and what they’re willing to risk. More quests mean stronger monsters, but also better loot.

The game's Hub is where players can take a breather between battles. Here, players can visit the Inn to rest, the Blacksmith to upgrade weapons, and the Market to exchange resources. Character development is also possible in the Hub, where players can use the materials and coins they have earned to get new abilities, upgrade weapons, or even unlock new characters. Every weapon in the game has its own upgrade tree, as well as its own game mechanics.

In addition to the core game, the Crimson Dawn game also has various additional features. Players can customize their characters with various cosmetic items and show them off to other players.
