In Civitatem, you're tasked with building a thriving medieval settlement in a dangerous world. You must use the skills and resources of your villagers to grow and develop your city, and protect it from threats. With strategic planning, you can make your settlement a successful and prosperous one.

Civitatem is a medieval city-builder game that allows players to help their villagers raise a settlement in a dangerous land. Players begin by naming their village and creating a village elder, who is responsible for leading the village and never sleeps for critical tasks. Players then assign tasks to their villagers, who gain experience as they complete them. Resources such as food, shelter, and water are essential for the villagers’ survival.

Players can choose from three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. A free mode is also available after the game is beaten once, which has no events or combat. Each time the game is completed, players receive a reward of their choice.

Players can fight off natural elements, raiders, and explore the region around the village for other villages to trade with. Schools can be built to educate kids and give them better skills. Research new technologies to improve buildings, trade, and management tools of the village. Crafting is a major part of the game, where players can build armors, weapons and tools to protect their settlement.

Bandit raids can pose a threat to players’ village as it grows in size. Prison buildings can be built to capture raiders and ransom them for gold. To achieve victory, players must build one of two end game buildings to make their town a popular place of trade and knowledge.
