Blackthorn Arena is a strategy/management and combat simulation game, where players take on the role of the master of Blackthorn Arena. Players must train their slaves into gladiators, forge them into champions, and then send them into battle against mythical monsters and classic fantasy races in a real-time/turn-based combat system. With strategic planning and tactical combat, the goal is to emerge victorious and become the master of the arena.

Welcome to Blackthorn Arena, a strategy and management sim set in a world of mythical creatures and classic fantasy races. As the master of this arena, you will have the task of training your slaves into gladiators and forging them into your champions. Lead your gladiators in battles and explore a savage land known as Freeland, as you strive to reclaim the honor of your family.

The game offers a variety of arenas, with each one having a unique style. You will have 16 Legendary NPC Champions to contend with, each with their own battle style. There are 7 different weapon masteries to choose from, including One-Handed, Two-Handed, Weapon & Shield, Ranged Weapon, Dual Weapon, Polearms, and Unarmed. You can also choose from 10 unique class/genres, such as Gladiator, Commander, Duelist, Defender, Rogue, Ranger, Berserker, Marksman, and BattleMonk. The game also offers 180 different skills, which you can freely combine and collocate to customize your fighters.

You will face over 100 different enemy types in the game, including tough opponents in various competitions such as Tag Fight, Throne Challenge, and Venationes. You can also go on side exploration missions, such as dungeon treasure hunts, caravan robberies, and beast hunting. With the continuous updates, the game now offers 500 different pieces of equipment to obtain, including 26 legendary weapons and 10 legendary armor sets.

The game also offers two different combat systems, namely the Blackthorn Arena real-time Combat System and Traditional Turn Based Combat System. You can choose either one of the two freely at the beginning of the game. In addition, the game offers a non-real-time online PVP mode, where you can upload your gladiators to our server and challenge other players’ gladiators.

Assemble your gladiators by buying slaves and training them into powerful warriors. You will need to manage their attributes, skills, and talents, and equip them with the best armors and weapons you can afford. Some of your gladiators may even become auxiliaries, such as cooks, healers, drillmasters, and blacksmiths. Send your gladiators to fight in the arenas or on side missions and defeat other gladiators and monsters to gain money, reputation, and ultimately, glory for your arena.

The gladiators are living people, and all of them exist dynamically in the game’s world. NPCs will enroll in different competitions held all over the world every day, and they could die, get injured, or grow stronger, just like your gladiators. When you defeat other gladiators, you can either spare their lives or execute them.

The game offers an RPG character development system, so you can customize your fighters to your heart’s content. You can choose between 6 major attributes, 6 weapon types, 8 unique genres, and over 100 combat skills to build your perfect fighter. Equip your gladiators with the aesthetic of over 200 pieces of armor and weapons, including legendary quality weapons and gear.

In addition to fighting, there are also a variety of events and side missions to participate in. You may have to deal with emergencies and opportunities, as well as side missions such as robberies of caravans, explorations of dungeons, and beast hunting. You can also hold a Venationes, where you can capture powerful and rare fantasy creatures and put them into your arena as the finale.

The battles are not limited to just 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4. There are different battle modes such as venationes, exhibition, tag fight, throne challenge, and tournament. You can also expect to face powerful opponents from all different arenas at any time. The game’s combat is based on real-time, but you can pause it at any time to issue a command, switch between characters, or apply several other actions. You can also customize your gladiators’ combat AI and switch between automatic and manual combat anytime during the fight.

The career of a gladiator is a brutal and challenging one, and your gladiators can completely lose control of themselves due to shattered morale during battles. Be aware that your gladiators may die permanently when they are defeated, so cherish their lives, but don’t get too attached.
