Asterix and Obelix are back in their classic XXL adventure, now fully remastered for modern audiences. Set in 50 B.C., the game takes place in Gaul, which is occupied by the Romans. However, one small village of Gauls continues to resist Roman rule, and that is where our heroes reside. Life in the village is peaceful, with daily activities such as hunting and quarreling between the blacksmith and the fishmonger.

However, one day, the village is raided and burned down by the Romans. Asterix and Obelix, along with their loyal dog, Dogmatix, set out on a journey to rescue their fellow villagers who have been captured by the Romans. The journey takes them through various regions of the world, including Normandy, Greece, Helvetia, Egypt, and finally, Rome itself. Their goal is to save their fellow villagers from the clutches of Emperor Caesar.

The game offers players the ability to toggle between playing as Asterix or Obelix, each with their own unique abilities. Players will need to fight their way through Romans, pirates, and Vikings to reach their goal. Fortunately, they have their magic potion to give them an edge in battle.
